1 plus 1 is not 2!

For those who have followed me in my endeavour to set up a business, you have witnessed the challenges and small victories on my way. I am now 10 months in since the start of the business and I am quite pleased with how things are going, but it has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears from time to time.

I had to wear so many hats and most of them were completely new to me. I have no business studies under my belt, have just come to settle in a new country, had no previous experience in marketing, had only a very limited set of computer skills… it has been quite a hurdle.

However, what has weighed on me most of all was being in it alone. I have had some support in the form of friends over a chat and/or a coffee, but this has been mostly on an occasional basis.

It is so much better to be able to refer to another person to bounce ideas off on, to counter weight my doubts and fears, to balance to my recklessness or crazy ideas or just a friendly, interested and informed listening ear.

I am a person who really thrives in a team setting. Explaining things to someone else or talking about things often makes concepts so much clearer. Even more so if we talk about each persons individual contribution and skill set!!

This is why I am so utterly thrilled to announce a new partnership is born! My lovely and wise childhood friend Cristiana has agreed teaming up with me to make this business work! Besides having a fantastic skill set in a variety of things, which are highly complementary to mine, we have known eachother for a long time and we have loads of ideas to release into this world.

We both have the aim and aspiration to make life a little more enjoyable to you people out there as well as for ourselves. We intend to reach our objective through one beautiful and qualitative object, course or creative idea at the time.
